BATMAN- Relatives of the forcefully disappeared and the İHD Batman Branch told the life story of Kurdish journalist Apê Musa whose case case dropped due to on September 20 demanded the perpetrators to be revealed.

The Human Rights Association (İHD) Batman Branch and the relatives of the disappeared came together in front of the Human Rights Monument on Gülistan Street on the 546th week of the "The Disappeared prisoners should be found, The Perpetrators should be prosecuted" demonstrations and made a statement. In the demonstration, the story of the Kurdish journalist and writer Apê Musa (Anter), who was murdered on September 20, 1992, was read and the perpetrators demanded to be revealed. Anter's son, Dicle Anter, relatives of the disappeared and İHD members joined the demonstration.

HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY DURING SCHOOL YEARS

İHD Branch Co-chair Devran Yıldız summarized Apê Musa's life story: “Musa Anter was born in 1920 in Eskimağara village of Nusaybin district of Mardin. After graduating from primary school in Mardin, he completed secondary and high school in Adana. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law. He has 3 children from his marriage to Ayşe Hale. The first time he was taken into custody was during his school years.

HE WAS PROSECUTED WITH THE DEMAND OF CAPITOL PUNISHMENT

Anter, who published the newspaper Ileri Yurt, was judged with execution in 1959 in the case of 49's because of his Kurdish poem "Qimil / Kımil". He was one of the founders of the Revolutionary Eastern Cultural Centers, the People's Labor Party, the Mesopotamia Cultural Center and the Istanbul Kurdish Institute. Anter, who was released with an amnesty in the May 27 Coup, wrote for Deng, Barış Dünyası and Yön magazines after he was released from prison. In 1963, he was detained from another case. He was arrested for making Kurdish propaganda in the September 12 Coup. He spent a total of 11.5 years in prison.”

ANTER WAS SUBJECTED TO ARMED ATTACK

Stating that Apê Musa was killed in an armed attack in the Seyrantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır on September 20, 1992, Yıldız continued as follows: “Former JİTEM member Abdülkadir Aygan told that Anter was killed by a team of JİTEM. It was reported in the Susurluk Report prepared by Kutlu that Anter was killed by Mahmut Yıldırım, code-named Yeşil.

THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT WANT THE PERPETRATORS TO BE FOUND

Although it was obvious from the statements of JITEM confessors that it was clear that JITEM, known as the dark circles of the state, took responsibility for the perpetrators of Ape Musa, the perpetrators were never found because the state did not want them to be found. Hearings continued for years. The trial has now turned into a policy of impunity. The 36th hearing of the case was held at the Ankara 6th High Criminal Court in the Sıhhiye courthouse in Ankara. In the last session of the trial, the hearing was postponed to one day after the case drops due to prescription.
