NEWS CENTER - In the last 3 years, many crimes such as kidnapping, murder, rape, displacement, demographic change and theft have been committed in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi, which are under the control of Turkey. The silence of the international public made these crimes routine.
In the last 3 years, in the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, which came under the control of Turkey after the invasion attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria, many inhumane crimes such as abduction, rape, murder, displacement, demographic change and theft have been committed. Destruction and plunder brought insecurity and crisis in the regions that were transformed into bases of paramilitary structures under Turkish control. According to the statistics ANHA based on the data of the Cizre Region Human Rights Organisation, 429 citizens were killed and injured as a result of the attacks on Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi.
CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY
In the region, where crimes against humanity have become routine due to the silence of the international public, the crime of demographic change was committed, as well as the displacement of the local people and the resettlement of ISIS families. More than 100 thousand Girê Spîs are struggling with difficult economic and living conditions in Raqqa and Tebga, where they had to migrate. There are 6,450 people in Girê Spi Migrant Camp, which was established by the Autonomous Administration near the Til El Simen village in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
More than 200 thousand people were displaced from Serêkaniyê. While some of the immigrants were settled in the Waşûkanî and Serêkaniyê camps in Hesekê, some went to their relatives in the Cizre Region. The wheat stored in Dehlîz, Sexrat and Şergirak warehouses in Girê Spî was looted. Trying to nurture the people with hunger with the policy carried out in Serêkaniyê, Turkey closed dozens of schools and turned them into a military base. ANHA documented that 6,000 Syrian refugees from Turkey were sent to the Girê Spi Canton. The aim is to settle these refugees in houses that will later be built in the west of the canton with the support of Qatari and Chechen associations. More than 1,400 ISIS members and 400 Iraqi ISIS members were settled in Serêkaniyê.
