NEWS CENTER - Egyptian writer Ilhami El Melici said, "For Abdullah Öcalan to live freely, freedom fighters around the world must make every effort."
Egyptian writer Ilhami El Melici, who is part of the Arab Initiative for Freedom for Öcalan, spoke to Hawar News Agency (ANHA) about the international conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and his physical freedom. Expressing that the conspiracy aimed to break the influence of Abdullah Öcalan on the Kurdish people, but this plan failed thanks to the resistance , El Melici said, “The Party (PKK) resisted thanks to the institutional system built by its leader. His base widened and it stepped up the struggle. It draws its strength from the ideas of its Leadership. He broke through the walls of the Turkish dungeon on Imrali Island and reached the Kurds everywhere.”
'IT'S THE CAUSE OF ALL PEOPLES'
Pointing out that Öcalan's problem is the problem of everyone who wants freedom, El Melici said, "It is the cause of human rights and a dignified life. It is the cause of the peoples trying to get rid of the oppression of the occupiers. That is why freedom fighters around the world must make every effort to communicate and live freely with the intellectual Abdullah Öcalan's family and the Kurdish people."
Pointing to the aggravated isolation on Öcalan, El Melici stated that the Turkish government, which he describes as a "dictatorship," does not respect human rights. El Melici called for international law organizations to take a stand against Turkey's practices.
