SIRNAK - Condemning to the "festival" being held on her children's remains and called out to the public, Hezni Arslan, whose daughter was killed during the curfews and could not reach her remains for 7 years, said: "Mehmet Tunç and Hacer should be remembered."

The condemnation of the festival, which is planned to be organised under the name of “Dosso Dossi”  with the sponsorship of the governorship, district governorship and trustee in the Cizre district of Şırnak on October 30. On the one hand, attention is drawn to the purpose of the festivals, which is defined as "cultural genocide", and on the other hand, calls are made to cancel the programs. The fact that the districts designated for the festivals are the cities that witnessed resistance in the recent past and where 288 people were killed, angers the families who lost their relatives.

177 people were killed in the basements of houses in Cizre during the curfew declared on December 14, 2015. As the families reached the remains of their relatives as a result of long struggles, the murdered Feride Yıldız, Mardin Çelebi, Hacer Arslan, Osman Gökhan, Hüseyin Derviş, Servet Aslan, İdris Susin, Ali Aslan, Cemal Pürlek, Emrah Aşkan, Osman Esmeray, Mustafa Keçanlu, Emrah Aşkın, Sakine Durmiş's remains have still not been found despite the past 7 years. While the remains of 14 people had not yet been reached, the debris from the destroyed houses in the neighborhoods where the clashes took place spilled onto the banks of the Tigris River.

THE PARK IS NOT ENOUGH, THEY ARE MAKING A FESTIVAL

During the curfews of Hezni Arslan, his daughter Hacer, son Mehmet Sait and brother Selim Turay were murdered. Reaching the remains of her brother and son, Arslan has been searching for the remains of her daughter for 7 years. Aslan said:"The place where the festival will be held was chosen deliberately. We are still looking for my daughter's remains. When they demolished the basement, they put the remains at the bottom of this park. For 7 years, neither I nor my children have been going to the parks. Our children's bodies are nowhere to be found. They parked on the bodies of our children. It was not enough, they are consciously organising a festival in that park. It is my call to the people of Cizre; They should not attend that festival. They should remember the basements of Cizre, Mehmet Tunç and Hacer. I hope no one will attend the festival. We also condemn the organisers of this festival.”
