ANKARA - Seven journalists detained in Diyarbakır, Mardin, Van and Urfa as part of an Ankara-based investigation were transferred to Ankara.
Journalists detained in raids in nine cities across Turkey on Tuesday morning as part of an Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office investigation were transferred to Ankara.
MA reporter Selman Güzelyüz and JINNEWS reporter Habibe Eren who were detained in Diyarbakır, MA reporters Emrullah Acar and Ceylan Şahinli who were detained in Urfa, MA reporter Hakan Yalçın who was detained in Van and JINNEWS reporter Öznur Değer who was detained in Mardin were brought to Ankara.
Mesopotamia Agency (MA) editor-in-chief Diren Yurtsever who was detained in Istanbul, were brought to Ankara on Tuesday evening.
Lawyers are expected to meet with their clients once the restriction order on lawyers’ visit is lifted.
