ANKARA - Journalist Berivan Altan, who met with her lawyers, said that police vests was brought to the police to take pictures before they brought her out of the building and they had to wait for it and the police told her, "We will force your head down, don't make it diffucult".
The ban on lawyers from the prosecutor's office yesterday regarding the Mezopotamya Agency and JINNEWS reporters detained as part of the Ankara-based investigation has ended. Lawyers met with journalists held at the Ankara Security Directorate.
Journalist Berivan Altan met with her lawyers and thanked everyone who showed solidarity. Stating that she was handcuffed behind back and tortured in the house raid, Altan said: "The police planned the moment of detention. They held me and waited inside the building for a time until their vests were brought. They needed the vests for the video footage. It was all a show. Right before we went out the door, they said: "We will force your head down. Look down. Don't make it difficult."
Stating that she resisted when the police tried to force her head down, told that the minute they arrived at the security directorate, a phone call came to the police and someone asked for the footage to release to the media.
