ANKARA - TTB Central Council President Şebnem Korur Fincancı, who was targeted for her statements regarding Turkey's chemical weapons attacks, has been arrested.
Turkish Medical Association (TTB) Central Council Chair Şebnem Korur Fincancı, who was detained on October 26 as part of the investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to her statements regarding Turkey's chemical weapons attacks against HPG members, was transferred to the courthouse in the morning.
After 4 hours of questioning at the prosecutor's office, Fincancı was referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request to be arrested on charges of "terrorist propaganda".
After a 15-minute break, the judge decided to arrest Fincancı on the charge of "propagandising a terrorist organization". Fincancı was taken to the Sincan Women's Closed Prison.
