ISTANBUL- The statement of Ahlam Albashir, who allegedly carried out the Taksim explosion, was arrested by the YPG on the grounds that she was spying for the FSA.
6 people lost their lives and 81 people were injured due to the bombing on Istiklal Avenue in Taksim. Ahlam Albashir, who allegedly left the bomb on the street, was detained by the Istanbul Police Department.
UNOFFICIAL INTERROGATION
The police, who told the pro-government media that Albashir confessed that she was a YPG member, said Albashir told them that "a terrorist called Haji instructed me to detonate the bomb after looking at the crowd there and I did."
'I WAS ARRESTED BY THE YPG'
Another part of Albashir's statement to the police was revealed. According to her statement Albashir told the police that her brother was a senior commander of the FSA. Albashir also told that she went to Minbic in 2017 with her sister and was arrested by the YPG for being an FSA spy, continued as follows: "“I was in prison in Manbij for a month. After I got out of prison, they called me and said 'You will meet with Haji'. They said you work for the FSA. A few weeks later they took me to the Haji again. This time they didn't cover my eyes. He had a tattoo on the visible part of his body. They scared with hurting my family if I don't spy for the FSA."
