RIHA - Speaking about Turkey's attacks, PYD General Council Member Ehmed Xoce said: "If Turkey attacks Kobanê, it will be defeated once again. The winner will be the people of Kobanê. This attack will also be the end of Erdogan."

 

Kobanê became the main center of Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria on November 20. In Kobanê, which destroyed the invincibility of ISIS, which fell like a dark cloud over the world, and brought the whole world together around the Kurds, the first target point in Kobanê was Miştenur Hill, where Arin Mirxan, who was considered the beginning of the end of ISIS, carried out a self-sacrificing action. The self-sacrificing spirit displayed in Kobanê, which is also described as the Stalingard of the Kurds, then gradually started to erase ISIS from the page of history. For Kobanê, which is admired and supported by all humanity, November 1 has been declared as World Kobanê Day by the world's intellectuals. PYD General Council Member Ehmed Xoce evaluated the attacks on Kobanê, the importance of Kobanê for the Kurds and the world, and what the latest attacks in Kobanê mean to the Mesopotamia Agency (MA).

 

THE IMPORTANCE OF KOBANÊ

 

Stating that Turkey organised itself according to the paramilitary groups that emerged after the rebellion that started in Syria in 2011 turned into a civil war, Xoce said: "Turkey tried to establish protection in many areas from Afrin and Cizîr canton to Rojava by making ISIS terror attack Kobanê in 2014, and that after ISIS attacked Shengal in 2014, it wanted to spread its caliphate by seizing Kobanê. Kobanê has a special place among the Kurdish people. Kobanê city center and all of its 365 villages are Kurdish and patriotic. Those involved in the freedom movement in Syria have always come from Kobanê. When Abdullah Öcalan first went to Rojava in 1979, he came to Kobanê. It prepares a patriotic ground there. Kobanê attracts the attention of the Turkish state because friends such as Shiraz and Dicle, who were martyrs of the first freedom movement of that period, came from here."

 

TURKEY'S TARGETS

 

Expressing that ISIS's attacks in 2014 were carried out by Turkey, Xoce said: "Kobanê had a spiritual and geographical feature. They wanted to block the front of Kobanê and break the July 19 resistance. After Kobanê, they wanted to conquer all of Rojava. During and after the Kobanê attacks, the whole world saw the Kurdish people resisting fascism, fighting to the end, fighting to the last drop of blood for their freedom. At that time, the whole world declared November 1 World Kobanê Day and supported it. The internationalist fighters of the world in Kobanê and the Kurdish youth in four parts of Kurdistan fought to the last blood. This gave a great meaning to Kobanê. Erdogan said at that time, 'Kobanê will fall', but what he said did not come true and his rhetoric was wasted while the youth were winning through resistance."

 

THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD ARE INDEBTED

 

Stating that the resistance in Kobanê is an example of heroism, Xoce said: "ISIS was defeated with this resistance and that this defeat is a great hope not only for the people of Kobanê, but also for the peoples of the world because of the defeat of ISIS, which has caused fear for both the peoples of the region and the peoples of the world, all the peoples of the world are indebted to the heroes who carried out this cleansing."

 

'KOBANÊ IS READY TO FIGHT'

 

Stating that President Erdogan wants to enter Kobanê like Serêkanîyê, Afrin and Girê Spi, Xoce said: "Erdoğan wants to connect these regions to Turkey again. That's why he wants to evacuate these areas and bring foreign people from elsewhere instead of the Kurdish people. Their preparations are not the same as before. Kobanê is fully ready for the revolutionary war, it is in full defense. They have gained full experience. Kobane people know how to defend themselves when attacked. They have shown this before. They are ready to fight until the last drop of their blood, showing heroism once again. They have the strength to defeat these attacks. and they have the power”.

 

Stating that Turkey targeted Miştenur Hill in Kobanê especially in its attack on November 20, Xoce explained this as follows: "The heroine Arin, who carried out a self-deprecating action against ISIS, said, 'You cannot go to Kobanê. You will pass over my body'. A place integrated with Mirkan was targeted. That is why many parts of the heroic areas were bombed and targeted. Their aim in these attacks was civilian people, health services, wheat warehouses, infrastructure services, institutions serving the public. Their aim here is to prevent the Autonomous administration from serving and the aim was to scare the people. Children, women and civilians were targeted in the attacks for this reason. They wanted this city to be evacuated. They wanted to change the demographic structure by evacuating it, as in Afrin, Girê Spi and Serekaniyê."

 

'IF ERDOĞAN WINS, IT WILL DAMAGE THE WORLD'

 

Pointing out that the peoples of the world should once again take care of Kobanê and Rojava, just as the peoples of the world took care of Kobanê on November 1, 2014, Xoce concluded his speech as follows: "The epic written here today, the resistance shown is not only for the Kurdish people, but for the whole world. If Erdogan wins, terror wins. This hurt the world yesterday, especially the Middle East. Therefore, no one should allow this. Kobanê should be protected as it was in 2014."
