DİYARBAKIR - Condemning the detention of Co-Chair Keskin Bayındır, DBP said: “You will not see a single Kurd bowing down to fascism and taking a step back.”

 

Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Keskin Bayındır was detained in a police raid at his home in Diyarbakır today. Bayındır made a victory sign while being taken to safety from his home. The police tried to bow down the head of Bayındır, whom they wanted to prevent from making a victory sign, while putting him in the vehicle. Bayındır resisted the bowing down of his head.

 

DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz said during her detention:“You are taking the Co-Chair of a party. Be calm," and she condemned the situation.

 

Sharing the footage of Keskin's detention, the DBP said: "You have experienced many times that you cannot intimidate us with repression, detentions and political genocide operations. You will not see a single Kurd bowing to fascism and taking a step back, your political life will not be enough for this."
