URFA- Countinuing the 659th day of the sit-in, Emine Şenyaşar was summoned to testify within the scope of two separate investigations.

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 659. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Since the courthouse is closed at the weekend, the family continues their sit-in at their home in Suruç district.

TWO SEPARATE INVESTIGATIONS

Emine Şenyaşar was accompanied by lawyer Nihat Şahin. In her speech on October 7, it is alleged that Emine "insulted" the AKP's Yıldız and the police officers present at the scene. It was noteworthy that the expression "so-called" was used for the sit-in in the police report.

The criminal complaint made in 2018 by Osman Yıldız, the father of AKP member Yıldız, was also used as a reason for the other investigation. In his criminal complaint, Yıldız had used the expressions, "I have no security of life. They are on sit-in for justice in front of the courthouse. They constantly stand in front of the courthouse and threaten my family. There is an assassination attempt on our family."

Emine Şenyaşar did not testify at the police station regarding the accusations and demanded that her statement should be taken by the Urfa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

The number of investigations opened against Emine Şenyaşar has increased to 17 with the last two investigations. Six of these investigations turned into lawsuits and the trials are still ongoing.

SILENCE IS TO BE A PARTNER IN OPPRESSION'

The family shared the following message on Twitter: "There is no Emine Şenyaşar on sit-in today! She is again testifying at the police station as the accused! The victim is again the AKP MP, who is the instigator of the hospital massacre, everyone should choose their side! To remain silent is to be a partner in the persecution."
