ŞIRNAK - Taybet Eren, mother of HPG member Mesut Eren who lost his life in the chemical weapons attacks in Zap, said: "Is there any greater cruelty than this? The Turkish state did this cruelty to all of us."
The use of chemical weapons continues in the attacks launched by Turkey against the Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region. According to the HSM's balance sheet, chemical and banned weapons were used 3,280 times in the last year in the attacks on Turkey. Due to chemical weapons attacks, 55 HPG and YJA-Star members have lost their lives so far. The identity information of 11 HPG members was revealed on December 27, 2022. HPG's Mesut Eren (Ferman Kerim) was one of the 11 names whose identity information was recently revealed. The mother of Taybet Eren (63), said: "Is there a greater cruelty than this?"
'TURKISH STATE DID THIS CRUELTY TO ALL OF US'
Stating that the use of chemical weapons is unacceptable neither religiously nor conscientiously, mother Eren said: "I raised my son with great care. I was very fond of him. He grew up, went to school and joined the PKK. Then the Turkish state poisoned him with chemical weapons. They have neither law nor justice. They murdered our children with chemicals. If the Turkish state wants to fight with them, it should fight them with weapons and not poison them with chemical weapons. Is there any greater cruelty than this? This is neither conscientious nor humane. The Turkish state did this cruelty to all of us."
EREN CONDEMNED THE KDP
Condemning the KDP and its administrators who cooperated in the attacks, Eren said: "We are suffering but neither Europe nor any other state stopped on this issue. Everyone closed their eyes to the cruelty and our children were poisoned. Didn't the world see, didn't the states? Everyone saw it. Barzani is also Kurdish. But he betrayed us. If he had not given way, no one would be there today. If he had told Turkey 'don't enter our lands', they wouldn't be there today. Kurds should be united against the attacks. Kurds must be united. We pray to God every day for this war to end. But it has not stopped and it still continues. We want this war to stop. We do not want even an ant to be harmed. My son was killed, but no one else should be killed."
