Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Masrour Barzani and the accompanying delegation visited the capital of Iraq, Baghdad, and met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani. It was stated in the posts about the meeting on Mesrur Barzani's social media accounts that the Shengal Agreement, which targets the gains of the Yazidis, came to the fore. It was stated that Barzani wanted the implementation of the Shengal Agreement.
SHENGAL AGREEMENT
KDP and former Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Kazimi signed the "Shengal Agreement" on October 9, 2020. In the agreement, it was planned to remove Shengal's local forces from Shengal, the KDP's return to Shengal and the deployment of Iraqi forces to Shengal. The agreement was met with the condemnation of Shengal residents and administrators.
