URFA - Speaking at the sit-in, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "In the massacre, the orders of superiors are processed, not the existing laws. Inspectors from the HSK should come to Urfa as soon as possible."
The sit-in carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached 686. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The family came to the Urfa Courthouse from their house in Suruç district and continued their sit-in.
Speaking in front of the courthouse and drawing attention to the time elapsed since the massacre, Ferit Şenyaşar said: “There has been unlawfulness and injustice for 4 and a half years. There is a Minister of Justice in this country. Here we are addressing the Minister of Justice; Not only Urfa, but all of Turkey knows about this injustice and lawlessness. The orders of the superiors are processed, not the existing laws. Inspectors from the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) need to come to Urfa as soon as possible. They have to follow the lawlessness that is happening here. The cry for justice of this mother, who has lost two of her sons and her husband, and whose son is in prison unjustly, needs to be heard. We want justice to be served.”
