DİYARBAKIR- Calling attention to the importance of the Gemlik march, HDP and DBP Bağlar district co-chairs said that they will set out for freedom.
The actions and activities, carried out against the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from in İmralı Type F High Security Prison for more than 22 months, took place in two districts of Kızıltepe and Yüksekova districts on 6 February, will continue with a march to Gemlik. The "We march to Imrali for a Solution" action, which will be launched on the occasion of the anniversary of the February 15, 1999 international conspiracy, when Öcalan was handed over to Turkey, will be completed on February 15. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Rezan district co-chairs drew attention to the meaning and importance of the Gemlik March and called for participation.

Stating that they are working feverishly for the march and reiterating his call for the Kurdish people and their friends to join the march, HDP Rezan District Co-chair Sümeyye Kirici said: “This march is an important march for the Kurds. There has been no news from the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan for 22 months. We are not aware of the state of his health. This situation has now become very serious. We will march to break the isolation to hear from the leadership. We call on our friends to end this isolation and march towards Gemlik en masse. This march will be a march for peace, freedom of Öcalan and brotherhood.”
