URFA - Stating that the operation launched against ISIS continues, YPG Press Spokesperson Sîyamend Ali said: “ISIS members admitted that they received military logistics and financial finance from gangs in occupied Serê Kanîyê, Grê Spî, Afrin, and Jarablus through the MIT.”
The operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) against ISIS cells in the Euphrates Region under the name "Raqqa Martyrs Revenge Campaign" continues on its 9th day. As part of the operation carried out in Raqqa, Tabqa, Kobanê's Sirin district and its villages, more than a hundred ISIS members were captured and many weapons were seized. A tunnel used by ISIS in previous attacks and located at a depth of 5 meters was detected within the scope of this operation while Atella, known as the one responsible for the cells in the Euphrates Region, was caught.

Reminding that ISIS also carried out attacks in parallel with Turkey's attacks and that 6 people lost their lives in the latest attack against the Internal Security Forces in Raqqa, Ali said: "In addition to the ISIS attacks, he was also threatening the notables in the region. The mobility of ISIS's secret cells was increasing day by day. ISIS is supported through MIT. ISIS members captured in previous operations admitted that they received military logistics and financial finance from gangs in occupied Serê Kanîyê, Gre Spî, Afrin, and Jarablus through the MİT. For this reason, we had to launch a large operation and we launched a comprehensive operation in the Euphrates Region under the name of 'Revenge Campaign of Raqqa Martyrs".
Emphasizing that they launched a large operation to cover Raqa, Tabqa, Sirin and their villages, Ali said: “We will clear the ISIS cells in these cities. We have taken steps to take down the ISIS cells and catch those who aid and abet them. This operation has been going on for 9 days. We captured more than 100 ISIS gangs. Meanwhile, we also caught the ISIS member named Atella, who is responsible for the ISIS members in the region. This person is responsible for dozens of events. This operation covers a very wide geography. For this, our operation is progressing with the help of the notables of the region and the Arab, Armenian and Kurdish people.”
