HAKKARİ - The Gemlik march, which was planned to start today with the slogan "We are marching to İmralı for a solution", was postponed due to the earthquake that occurred. DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz called for help for the people who were victims of the earthquake.

CALL FOR PEOPLE SOLIDARITY
Speaking afterwards, HDP Group Deputy Chair Meral Danış Beştaş said: “The reason why we are in Yüksekova today was the isolation of Imrali, which was our main agenda, and we were going to march against this isolation. But due to this disaster, we postponed this march. It's a very bad day, millions are suffering with great pain, people are in ruins and people can't hear anything. In these harsh winter conditions, we have to heal the wounds of this. Satisfactory information does not reach us. In Maraş, the governor said he could not make any statement. He stated that he could not share a report or information about the dead, injured or destroyed buildings. We understand that the scale of this event is very serious. We get very bad news from the cities where the earthquake occurred. An international call was also made, an aid was requested from a foreign country. The purpose of this call is to show that there were great losses in the earthquake. Our call to our people; Solidarity is needed for the regions affected by the earthquake. We expect homes to be opened to the earthquake victims and all kinds of solidarity are displayed to them. Our people need to be sensitive in order not to spread traffic flow and inaccurate information. As HDP, we will stand by our citizens affected by the earthquake. We have postponed our freedom march against isolation and are channeling all efforts to the earthquake zone. We will bandage our wounds together."
