Half of the city was almost destroyed in the Islahiye district of Gaziantep, which was affected by the earthquakes in Maraş. In the destroyed district, citizens spend the night around the fire they lit, in their vehicles and in the tents they set up with their own means. 14 people from 4 families who are struggling to survive in a 10 square meter single-storey shop abandoned in the district center summarize the state of the city and the support given to the city.
'WE CAN'T FIND FOOD'
Alaaddin Baştemur, one of the 14 people who said that they had a very difficult time, said: "We are waiting for help. There is no food and no electricity. Aid is very little. We are looking for food, we cannot find it, we are looking for water and cannot find it. 4 families and 14 people stayed in a one-room place and that no tents were provided, and that we were waiting for support."
'TENTS ARE NOT GIVEN'
Stating that there was no support for the district and no tents were provided, Baştemur said: "We manage with the children here and look after our people who are in the rubble.
