ANKARA - Netblocks announced that after the earthquakes, the vitally important social media platform Twitter was restricted in Turkey.
While the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centered in Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş caused destruction in many provinces of Kurdistan, the public showed solidarity on the social media account Twitter. Netblocks, which monitors global internet access, announced that Twitter, the virtual media platform, is restricted in Turkey. In the statement made by Netblocks: "Real-time Netblocks measurements show that Twitter is restricted by SNI filtering at major internet providers TTNet Turkcell."
