While there was no loss of life in the ruined village of Kalburcu, citizens are waiting for help in difficult conditions. The citizens and the volunteers who reached the area said that the wounded who survived the rubble in the villages of Bulam and Çêlikan died of cold, and that the bodies were eaten by wolves. A villager from Kalburcu village who spoke to the camera said: “You cannot reach mountain villages. The road is blocked. The cliffs have fallen and are closed due to snow. AFAD DOESN'T GO UNLESS OFFICIAL APPLICATION
It was learned that AFAD teams did not go to the villages where there was no transportation due to snow and rocks falling on the roads. It was stated that AFAD does not go to similar regions unless there is an official application.
A volunteer who reached our agency via voice message noted that wolves ate the corpses, people were in a very difficult situation and they were trying to remove the relatives of the earthquake victims by their own means. The volunteer, who called for emergency help, said: “Wolves have landed on the side of Bulan, Çelikhan, and they have started to eat the corpses. People are in a very difficult situation. On the one hand, they are trying to save their relatives, but on the other hand, they cannot do anything because they are afraid of wolves. They are very victims. Please urgently assist the Bulan, Çelikhan, Balıkburnu side. Please provide team direction. People are in a very difficult situation. At least let's get those people out of there."
