NEWS CENTER- Minister of Justice Bozdağ stated that an arrest warrant has been issued for 171 people in investigations into buildings destroyed by earthquakes.
Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ announced in a television program he attended that arrest warrants were issued for 171 people in investigations into the buildings destroyed in the provinces affected by the Mereş-centered earthquakes.
Bozdağ said: "Earthquake investigations are being carried out actively. To date, 583 suspects have been prosecuted, 171 people have been arrested. Arrest warrants have been issued for 77 people. We see that 78 of the 171 people arrested are contractors. 64 of them are the building supervisors. Responsibility and anyone who signed is within the scope of this investigation. Anyone who has responsibility in a destroyed building will be weighed on the scales of justice and the actions to be taken will be carried out without hesitation. No one should be worried. Everyone will be held accountable to the nation's judiciary in front of the nation's eyes. Whoever has how much responsibility, everyone will be held as responsible as their responsibility. If an inspection has been made, are these inspections done correctly, if concrete is used, are the proportions in line with the technical order, and all questions will be investigated."
