According to the information obtained, Şehmus Demir, who was brought to the Bismil Courthouse for a statement yesterday, was beaten by the police in front of the prosecutor's room because he said he wanted to smoke. The lawyers, who were informed about the incident on the ground floor and the shouting, witnessed Demir being beaten by the police when they got down on the ground floor. After the lawyers tried to capture the incident with a mobile phone camera, the police continued to beat Demir by taking him to the toilet and closing the door.
