ADANA - Azadiya Welat newspaper employee Metin Alataş was commemorated at his grave on the 13th anniversary of his murder.
It has been 13 years since the death of Metin Alataş, the distributor of Azadiya Welat newspaper, whose body was hung from a tree after he was murdered in Adana's Seyhan district on April 4, 2010. Alataş was commemorated at his grave in Küçükoba Cemetery on the 13th anniversary of his murder. Alataş's family, free press workers, Mediterranean Association for Assistance and Solidarity with Families of Disappearance (AYKAY-DER), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Mediterranean Adana Association for Assistance and Solidarity with the Families of Prisoners and Convicts (AATUHAY- DER), People's Democratic Party (HDP) and Peace Mothers Council members attended the commemoration.
'MURDERERS WERE NOT FOUND AND JUDGED'
Speaking after the minute of silence, AYKAY-DER Co-Chair Nimet Tekin emphasized that they will continue the struggle of Alataş. Alataş's mother, Hatun Alataş, stated that as in the case of Musa Anter and Kadri Bağdu, the perpetrators were not found in her son's file and that he was not prosecuted. Alataş stated that their struggle will continue until the murderers are found and prosecuted.
At the commemoration, Yeni Yaşam newspaper and roses were left on Alataş's grave. Later, the grave of Azadiya Welat distributor Kadri Bağdu, who was murdered, was visited.
