The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the airspace of Turkey has been closed to the use of aircraft that will use Sulaymaniyah International Airport for landing/take-off as of April 3. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tanju Bilgiç, cited the "intensification of PKK activities" as the reason for the decision. It was stated that the decision, which is expected to be valid until July 3, 2023, will be reviewed in the light of developments.
