HATAY - Earthquake victims exposed to the dust of debris in Samandağ stated that the problem is not only theirs.
In the cities where destruction was experienced by the Maraş-centered earthquakes, the debates about the places where the debris was poured continue. The rubble removed in the Samandağ district of Hatay is poured 100 meters ahead of the tent city, which was set up by the Disaster and Emergency Regulation Presidency (AFAD) in the stadium in Deniz Mahallesi. The Vigil of Life, which was initiated against the rubble spilling close to the area where 225 tents are located, continues. Earthquake victims staying in tents demanded that the dumping be stopped and that the spilled rubble be removed from the area.
INHABITANTS OF THE DISTRICT IS DEBRIS
Earthquake Victim Gönül Deniz stated that their demand was to remove the rubble. Deniz said: "Earthquake did not kill, corona did not kill, and debris should not kill us. My children were also adversely affected, and the problem is not only the problem of those living in tent cities. All people living in Samandağ are exposed to dust. Agricultural products and animals are also affected by dust. We will give the tomatoes and peppers we produce to the whole country. It will cost the lives of other people as well. They will swallow the same poison."
