ŞIRNAK - The Governor of Şırnak asked for votes for the AKP in the meeting he held with the headmen. The governor threatened: "If the results do not turn out as we want, I will see you later."
Şırnak Governor Osman Bilgin started his election work before the General Elections to be held on May 14, before the parliamentary candidates. It was stated that Governor Bilgin held a meeting with village and neighborhood headmen at the District Gendarmerie Command in the Basa (Güçlükonak) district of Şırnak.
THREAT OF THE HEADMEN
At the meeting of the headmen, who were required to attend, Bilgin threatened them to vote and collect votes the of AKP. According to the information received from the headmens who attended the meeting, Governor Bilgin used the following statements: “Everyone is responsible for their own village and neighborhood. If you don't vote for the AKP, think about what I will do to you after the election. I know you will go and say, 'The governor threatened us,' yes, I do. But know this, if the results don't turn out as we want, I'll see you later. Our chief won't lose."
On the other hand, it is stated that Governor Bilgin made visits to Qileban (Uludere), Elkê (Beytüşşebap) and Basa, and held meetings with headmen, police officers, soldiers and opinion leaders of some tribes.
