RIHA - Continuing the sit-in, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "I will shout this injustice to those who turn their ears to the struggle for justice in Ankara."
The sit-in carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached 787. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018.
Emine Şenyaşar, who came out of their house in Pirsûs(Suruç) and came to the front of the Urfa Courthouse, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who was elected as an MP from the Greens Left Future Party (Green Left Party) in the May 14 elections, started the sit-in in front of the banner reading "Justice for the Şenyaşar family".
Speaking at the sit-in, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "We have gone through very difficult times as a country and we continue to go through these difficult times. We thank our people who did not leave us alone during our struggle."
Expressing that he will carry the struggle for justice to Ankara and that his mother Emine Şenyaşar will continue the sit-in in front of the Urfa Courthouse, Şenyaşar said: "I will be the voice of all the victims in Ankara."
