BİTLÎS - The waters of Şen village in Xizan were cut off after the election. Citizens attribute the water cut to the election results.
The waters of Şên village in Xîzan (Hizan) district of Bêdlis(Bitlis) have not flowed for days. The applications of the villagers carrying water from the stream near the village remained unanswered. Indicating that the water problem in the village has not been resolved for days despite applying to the competent authorities, the villagers say that they have been "punished" because of the election. The water shortage also affects the village school where about 80 students attend. In the school, which has not been given water for days, students are educated in an unhygienic environment.
IS THE ELECTION RESULTS THE REASON FOR WATER SHORTAGE?
The villagers, who have been trying to meet their basic needs by carrying water from the stream due to the water shortage in the village for days, want their voices to be heard. Citizens living in the village say that the reason why their water is cut off is that they do not vote for AKP and Tayyip Erdoğan. In the general elections of May 14, 169 votes came from the village for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and 18 votes for Tayyip Erdoğan. Again from the village, 105 votes were cast for the Green Left Party, 10 for the AKP, and 77 for the IYI Party.
