PYD's Xoce: The aim of the attacks is to update Lausanne

URFA – PYD General Council member Ehmed Xoce stated that Turkey is targeting the democratic society paradigm with its attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria and that the aim is to update Lausanne.

The Kurds, who organized the peoples on the basis of freedom through the Third Way option, declared autonomy together with the peoples living in Northern and Eastern Syria with the outbreak of the civil war in Syria in 2011. While the women's libertarian, ecological and democratic paradigm inspired all oppressed peoples, local, regional and global powers were disturbed by the result. The people's search for freedom and coexistence disturbed the AKP government the most. Turkey, which tried to attract the revolutionary movement, which started as Rojava in the form of cantons, on the basis of attacking Assad, started to attack the free life of the peoples, which would turn into the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, through paramilitary forces and directly, when it was unsuccessful. Turkey, which attacked and entered the cities of Jarablus, Bab, Ezaz, Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî in the region with international support, has continued its attacks uninterruptedly until today. In recent years, the USA has continued these attacks with Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones), violating the agreements it has made with Russia.

After the elections in Turkey and Kurdistan cities in May, the scope of the attacks expanded. The silence of the International Coalition and other active forces in Syria against the attacks displaces that there are secret agreements. The last link of the attacks took place on the Tirbespiyê road of Northern and Eastern Syria during the 20th Astana meeting where the foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia, Iran and Syria came together on June 20. Qamishlo Canton Council Co-chair Yusra Derwêş, her MP Leyman Şiwêş and their driver Fırat Tuma lost their lives in the attack. The other co-chairperson, Gabî Şemûn, was also injured. It was noteworthy that the Prime Minister of the Federal Kurdistan Region Mesrur Barzani, who came to Ankara on the day of the attack, met with President Tayyip Erdogan of the AKP.

Evaluating Turkey's increasing attacks on the region, Democratic Union Party (PYD) General Council member Ehmed Xoce condemned the silence of international forces.

Referring to the historical background of the policies of denial and ignorance towards the Kurds, Xoce said: “The governments in Turkey divided Kurdistan into 4 parts with the establishment of the republic after Lausanne. A century ago, attacks were carried out on the basis of annihilation and annihilation of the Kurds. The culture, art, language and existence of the Kurds were denied. This has always existed in the policies followed, and projects have always been developed on the basis of annihilation of the Kurds.”

'KOBANÊ DID NOT FALL '

Stating that after the Rojava Revolution took place on July 19, 2012, Turkey started to attack the gains of the Kurds and their friends with the help of paramilitary forces, Xoce said: “The dose of attacks was increased in 2014, when the Autonomous Administration was declared, and ISIS tried to invade the region with the help of Turkey; however, this plan came back from Kobanê. In Kobanê, the people resisted and foiled all plans. Erdoğan was saying in his statements: 'Kobanê will fall' and he was looking forward to it. When these plans did not work and Kobane did not fall, he started to invade the cities of Northern and Eastern Syria, which lived in peace with its own army, after 2018; however, he found peoples who advocated coexistence and were conscious of being a democratic society. Every day, civilians are killed. They are trying to achieve what they wanted to do with their tanks and cannons a hundred years ago. The free Kurdish will targeted today is the democratic society that is the paradigm of the free man. They don't want people to live together and re-create life with the consciousness of a democratic society."

'THE AIM OF TÜRKİYE IS TO UPDATE LAUSAN'

Pointing out that the attacks increased after the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration announced on June 10 that more than 10 thousand ISIS members held in prisons would be prosecuted, Xoce said: “There were elections in Turkey in May. When he won, the attacks increased and continued day by day. Autonomous Administration executives were targeted in the attacks carried out a few days ago. On the same day, a meeting was held in Astana. This means: Under the fascist Turkish state, Erdogan, people have no patience for free and coexistence. There are attacks on the will of the Kurds in four parts of Kurdistan. Chemical attacks, the use of which is illegal, are used in Bashur. A war with the most advanced technologies is being waged against the guerrilla. The aim of Türkiye is to update Lausanne, which was signed a hundred years ago, to ignore the will of the Kurds for a hundred years once again."

'HOPE FOR ALL PEOPLES'

Calling for peoples to defend life together, Xoce said: "In addition to those who are in search of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, we also have friends who are with us and support us, and this gives us morale and strength. Leader Apo is a hope not only for the Kurds, but for all peoples. Today, the key to the solution is in İmralı. All the peoples of the world should protect Mr. Öcalan. Today, if Mr. Öcalan and the Autonomous Administration are not taken care of, ISIS terrorism will be put in a position to threaten the world again. Those who want to eliminate the economic crisis, which is called the 'Third World War' today, should turn to Rojava. The rising sun of philosophy in Rojava will be a light for all the peoples of the world.”
