BİTLÎS - It has been learned that in the villages where the curfew has entered the 4th day in Xîzan district, thousands of citizens cannot go out of their homes, the crops are left on the ground and the animals cannot be fed.

The curfew declared on the night of July 2 continues in 10 villages and hamlets in the Xîzan (Hizan) district of Bedlîs. The forbidden countryside of Huzeran, Akûnis, Govan, Lanîlan, Xûlepûr, Kekulan, Sureh, Pertawan, Kuran and Mezra Pisyan are bombarded incessantly. In addition, the military operation, which was initiated with the participation of many soldiers and guards, continues. It was stated that the operation was concentrated in the area where the villages of Kûç, Harêt, Azê, Selih and Kewna Nêzir are located. Citizens are prevented from leaving their homes on the grounds of prohibition and operation. It was reported that some ill citizens were also prevented from going to the hospital.

VILLAGERS CANNOT MEET THEIR NEEDS

A citizen from the forbidden villages spoke about what happened. The citizen, who did not want his name to be written for "security" reasons, said: "We did not even let us out of our house for the first two days. Since yesterday, we have only been able to go one or two meters beyond our homes. We cannot meet any of our needs. Our children's psychology was disrupted by the bombardment. The reason for this operation and pressure is to force people to become rangers. Even with a serious illness, no one is allowed to leave the village."

‘AIM IS TO CREATE A CLIMATE OF FEAR’

Green Left Party Bedlis MP Semra Çağlar Gökalp said that there are serious problems especially in Akûnis and Xûlepûr villages. Gökalp said: “The villagers are now allowed to meet the needs of their animals for half an hour a day. Due to this operation carried out at the time of harvesting, people cannot go to their fields  and suffer a great loss. Clashes still continue in that area. Today we will make a joint decision and go there if necessary. These bans need to be lifted immediately. The sole purpose of these bans is to create a climate of fear.”
