URFA - Şenyaşar family decided to move the Justice Watch actions to Ankara after the prisoner Fadıl Şenyaşar was not released.

Fadıl Şenyaşar, who had been held in a solitary cell in Elazığ Type E Prison for more than 5 years, was not released in the second hearing of the case against the Şenyaşar family, held in Malatya. The family made a statement in front of the courthouse after the decision. Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD), Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) MPs, Riha Bar Association President Abdullah Öncel and many lawyers from other bar associations attended the statement.

SIT-IN WILL CONTINUE IN ANKARA

Speaking to Mesopotamia Agency (MA) after the statement, Green Left Party Riha MP Ferit Şenyaşar said: "We have been fighting for justice in Urfa for 5 years and as a result, a lawsuit was filed. The trial is being held in Malatya. For 8 years, dozens of prosecutors have changed. Today, we learned that the committee in Malatya has changed. From now on, another committee will hear the case. We had previously said that in the absence of a fair trial verdict, we would move the sit-in in front of the courthouse in Urfa to Ankara. We will stand by this decision and will soon go to Ankara with my mother and continue the sit-in there."
