ŞIRNEX - Police officers in Şirnex and its districts are imposing spying on students under the name of "Şırnak Youth and Safe Future". Families are preparing to file a criminal complaint on the issue.
In the centre of Şirnex (Şırnak) and in the districts of Hezex (İdil), Cizîr (Cizre) and Silopi (Silopi), seminars under the title of "Şırnak Youth and Safe Future" organised in schools in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Education and the Provincial Security Directorate. The seminars organised in schools by 3 police officers.
While school administrators are not allowed to attend the seminars, students are shown videos of people who allegedly "surrendered" and became "confessors" during the clashes. It is learned that in the seminars held in Şirnex Cumhuriyet Anatolian High School, Fine Arts High School, Şırnak High School, Şırnak Vocational and Technical High School, Şırnak İbn-i Sina Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and İdil Anatolian High School, the students were told about a person named "Dilşad" who allegedly joined PKK and surrendered.
It is stated that a video of the claims of a person named "Dilşad" was shown to the students. It is learned that during the seminar the students were asked questions such as "Do you have any relation with politics or this video?". After the video was shown to the students, the police officers told the students, "If you encounter such a situation or if you know such people around you, contact the police".
FAMILIES WILL FILE A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT
It is learned that students were threatened in the seminar given at İdil Anatolian High School as "If you join the PKK you will die or be killed". The students shared this situation with their families. The families we interviewed stated that the seminar in question was held without their knowledge and that their children's psychology was disturbed and that they would file a criminal complaint against this situation.
The administrator, whose school and name we did not disclose for security reasons, stated that even they were not allowed to enter the classrooms and that the main purpose of the seminars was to learn the political views of the families through the students.
