ŞIRNEX - Speaking at Hezex, the DEM Party MP Zeki Irmez said: "In order to end the crises in Turkey, this isolation must be lifted. There is no other way."

 

The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Hezex District Organization held its 1st Extraordinary Congress at the party building. Speaking at the congress, the DEM Party Şirnex MP Zeki İrmez touched upon the isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. İrmez said: "There is a tendency towards Mr. Öcalan. They have been keeping him in isolation for 25 years. All the dirty policies currently being carried out are linked to isolation. For this reason, our people are fighting uninterruptedly to break the isolation."

 

Drawing attention to the hunger strikes in prisons, İrmez said: "Our friends in prisons have been on a hunger strike for 21 days to end the isolation. We must shoulder the burden they bear. There will be no lasting peace until the isolation is lifted because the addressee is Mr. Öcalan. To end the crises in Turkey, this isolation must be lifted. It is necessary. There is no other way."

 

In the election held after the speeches, Songül Erden and Adnan Ben were elected as the new co-chairs.
