UNTIL THE JUSTICE IS SERVED

After the hearing, the families and the lawyers of 103 activists who lost their lives in the massacre read a press statement in front of the courthouse.

Emphasizing the importance of the fugitives to be brought back to Turkey Eylem Sarıoğlu, a lawyer from the October 10 Lawyers Commission, said, "In this session we especially demanded from the judge to find out in which camp İlhami Balı currently is and to ensure that he is handed over and put on trial in Turkey. So our main focus was to make the court to take a step to put the fugitive suspects on trial here. However our demands were not fully met in the current stage."

Stating that with each new document they discovered through the trial process they have been chasing for years, the responsibles of the massacre are revealed even more Sarıoğlu said, "We declare that we will continue our struggle and continue this solidarity until the the true responsibles are prosecuted and the fugitives face trial and give the account of their crimes here in Turkey. We will be here on September 21 and we will continue to raise our voice until the justice is served."
