ANKARA - The police have surrounded the HDP Headquarters building in Ankara.
The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Headquarters building in Ankara has been surrounded by Turkish police. Party employees and members who wanted to enter the building in Çankaya were blocked by the police.
It was learned that the Headquarters building was surrounded because of a provocative people sit-in that wanted to be organized.
HDP Batman Deputy Mehmet Rüştü Tiryaki came to the front of the building and said: "We learned that this group of people are going to make a statement here, lay a wreath and maybe have a sit-in. They will not stay long in front of our building, one or two people will come, they will leave wreaths. We are waiting inside the building. If they attempt anything beyond that, if that's their aim, we can’t allow that."
