Shengal Democratic Autonomous Administration announced that they have entered a state of emergency against the attempt of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to enter Shengal. The Autonomous Administration stated that they will be the nightmare of those who do not recognize the will of the people. KDP forces have been trying to enter Shengal since October 2, using the Iraqi elections to be held on October 10 as an excuse.

 

The Autonomous Administration made a statement with the participation of the people to protest the KDP's latest attempts to enter Shengal. In the statement made by the Autonomous Administration, it was stated: “They could not destroy our people with the massacres, now they are trying to do this with political games. Our people must be vigilant against these dirty games. We will not allow anyone to play games on our people and our land. We will not accept a plan in Shengal against the will of our people. If something is going to happen, it will happen according to the will of the people, by the decision of the people. Whether it is the Iraqi government or any other power, whoever takes a decision against the will of the people of Shengal, the people will stop them.

 

What is happening today is a continuation of the 9 October Agreement. With the October 9 Agreement, they did not recognize the will of Shengal. We would like to emphasize this once again; We do not recognize those who do not recognize the will of the people. Today, every family in Shengal has a martyr. Every family has a prisoner in the hands of ISIS. Those who caused this want to enter Shengal. Once again they want to betray our people. Here we answer them; If you try to do something against the will of the people in Shengal, we will be your nightmare. Long live the resistance of the people of Shengal.”
