Statement by the Presidential Spokesperson on the attack on Northern and Eastern Syria

NEWS CENTER - Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın made a statement regarding the attack on Northern and Eastern Syria, "Operation in Syria is still an option on the table."
 
Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın made statements to a group of foreign media representatives. According to the news in VOA Turkish, Kalın stated that "neither Russia nor Ukraine will win the war" in Ukraine, adding that Turkey "wants to be a mediator for peace" and to achieve "localized ceasefires" if general peace is not possible. He said they will work for him. Regarding the Turkish veto on the entry of Sweden and Finland into NATO, Kalın added that "the time limit for Sweden and Finland to approve NATO membership proposals is running out before Turkey's elections, which are expected to be held in May."
 
After Syrian President Bashar Esat's statement that he "depends on the elimination of the inconsistent elements" to meet with Tayyip Erdogan, İbrahim Kalın said: "an operation is still an option on the table, depending on the level of threat we face".
