It has been learned that Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Mehmet Güleş, who was detained while following the search and rescue efforts carried out in the wreckage of the destroyed buildings in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, was detained together with Ömer, whose surname could not be learned, who voluntarily participated in the search and rescue efforts. According to the information obtained, Güleş interviewed a volunteer who participated in the search and rescue efforts while following the debris removal and search and rescue efforts to provide information about the progress of the efforts. After a volunteer named Ömer criticized the search and rescue efforts during the interview, the police, who were in the area, reported the situation to the Security Branch Directorate of Diyarbakır Police Department, which took security measures in the area.

 

The Security Branch teams, who came to the place where the interview was held, detained the journalist Güleş and the volunteer named Ömer together. The statements of volunteers named Güleş and Ömer, who were held in the Security Branch Directorate, could not be taken due to a malfunction in the system.
