URFA- Şenyaşar family visited the graves of their relatives who were murdered on the eve of Arife. Ferit Şenyaşar, who was prevented from making a statement at the graveside, said: "The government that perpetrated this persecution should leave. We are waiting for May 14."

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached 759. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018.

POLICE OBSTACLE

Emine Şenşayar visited the graves of her children, Adil and Celal Şenyaşar, and her husband Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar, who were laid to rest in the Suruç Family Cemetery on the eve of the Ramadan with her children who survived the massacre. The family read prayers at the graveside.

Ferit Şenyaşar, who wanted to make a short speech at the graves of his brothers and father, was blocked by the police. The police did not allow our reporter to shoot by turning off his camera. The Şenyaşar family condemned this situation and made the statement at the entrance of the cemetery.

'THEY WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE INDEPENDENT JURISDICTION'

Ferit Şenyaşar said: “We came to the cemetery today because of the Eve of the Ramadan Feast day. At this point, the law enforcement, who pushed the laws aside and followed the orders of the superiors, did not allow the mother to suffer. The power that perpetrated this oppression should leave. We look forward to May 14th. On May 14, this mentality that does injustice, persecutes, shelves the laws and protects the MP will go away and the judiciary will be independent and impartial. Those who committed this massacre will be held accountable before the independent judiciary.”

After the cemetery visit, the family set out for the Urfa Courthouse for the sit-in.
