NEWS CENTER - In the final declaration of the DEM Party's 2-day meeting, it was stated that "Our tendency to take part in city administrations with our own candidates in the elections has become stronger." In the declaration, it was stated that the Central Executive Board and Co-Chairpeople were authorized for local elections.

The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) announced the final declaration of the discussions held at the Party Council (PM) meeting held on December 15-16. "People will rule with Urban Consensus!" In the declaration titled, it was stated that the developments in the world and the Middle East, the multiple crises in Turkey, the Kurdish issue and absolute isolation, and the upcoming local election agenda were discussed in depth.

In the declaration, in which the road map to be followed for the local elections was revealed, the following was stated: "We are going through a period in which economic, political, social, ecological and cultural crises in the world are intertwined. The search for restoration of capitalism imposes violence, poverty and futurelessness on the people of the world. People in the Middle East It is under great attack and siege. The rulers of these lands, who insist on the nation-state shirt that has not been stitched for a century, are resorting to all kinds of inhumane practices. In this context, we once again condemn Israel's attacks on the Palestinian people and reiterate our call for a democratic solution based on the people to be brought to the agenda.

In Turkey, too, the government has made violence its only compass to cover up multiple crises within the country and to realize its regional imperial ambitions. All social segments that speak out against hunger, neglect, oppression and oppression are exposed to the violence of the government. Those who say 'I am starving', those who say 'I demand my democratic rights' and those who say 'I want a free and equal life' face the same pressure and oppression.

OUR HOPE FOR A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC TO BE STRONG

As we enter the last days of 2023, misery, pain and death will befall the people throughout the year; Our will and hope to reach the Democratic Republic, which will change this system that brings ostentation, luxury and waste to itself and its supporters, is strong. In every period when the democratic solution to the Kurdish issue is excluded and violence and oppression are taken as the basis, political, social, economic and ecological crises emerge and make life unlivable. This reality has become the law of Türkiye's political history. Denying the Kurdish issue means denying a people and their collective rights and status issue. In the 21st century, there is no longer a way to go by ignoring the collective rights and political will of the Kurdish people.

ABSOLUTE ISOLATION IS AN IDEOLOGICAL SIEGE

As the isolation deepens, all the problems in Turkey become deeper. The denial is intended to be maintained through the policies of absolute isolation and lack of communication implemented on Mr. Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı. Absolute isolation is a management system, an ideological-political siege. This siege deepens the deadlock in the Kurdish issue. As the DEM Party, we will increase our struggle until we eliminate isolation, which is the last branch of the denialist government and state mind. We will bring success to all the people of Türkiye with the decisions we will make and the strategic equations we will establish."

The prominent topics of the discussions at the meeting were listed as follows:

" * The results of the 2024 local government elections will have serious political effects in the region and in Turkey. We are aware of our responsibility as the decisive party of these elections.

* Turkey's problems can only be solved through negotiation methods. For this reason, we value dialogue and negotiations between political parties. We are ready to negotiate with anyone who is based on local democracy, democratic consensus, free politics, universal human rights and women's liberation policies.

* We resemble neither the status quo nor the restorationist line with our ideological-political stance and political language. The 3rd Path, which will weave the values of democracy, peace, freedom and justice, is our basic strategic line. The DEM Party sees itself as a party of struggle and negotiation. This path is not just a way to gain electoral gains. This path is also the democratic solution to the Kurdish issue, the path of protecting the will of the people against the usurpation of trustees, and the path of protecting the people's work, food, life and freedom against corruption and corruption.

* We will take back our municipalities, to which trustees were appointed in the 2024 local elections, to be governed by the will of the people again with the strategy we will follow. In addition, we will win the elections of many provinces, districts and town municipalities that we have not governed before, and we will save the people from corruption, profiteering networks and those who deny our identity. In order to achieve this goal, we will move forward by establishing various collaborations and alliances under our party name.

* In the west of Turkey, all institutions, organizations, workers, laborers, ecologists, women, youth, peoples and faith organizations, political parties, labor and professional organizations, democratic and conscientious organizations that cover the social and political dynamics that create and sustain the city on a wide scale. We see it as our primary duty to meet with citizens, all social parties and political actors, to negotiate, to walk together, and to create the basis for the City Consensus that will build a common struggle.

* A joint-collective alternative understanding that will strengthen a local government understanding shaped by the populist, ecological, women's libertarian line and all social and political dynamics that adopt this line, against the understanding that turns local governments, especially all components of the Labor and Freedom Alliance, into a center for distributing rent. We will play our role to grow it.

* Our tendency to take part in city administrations with our own candidates and lists in local government elections, as every independent political party would do, was further strengthened by the discussions in our PM meeting. Our Party Council, together with all committees of our party, ensures that the processes of becoming candidates are inclusive, participatory, transparent and democratic; it emphasized that local elections are an important stage in the preparation work and emphasized the importance of continuing the process in a way that turns it into a feast of democracy.

* No one should have any doubt that we will not allow even a single equation to be established that is not in the interest of our people; on the contrary, we will bring success to all the people of Türkiye with the decisions we will make and the strategic equations we will establish!

* In local government elections, the authority to do what is necessary in accordance with the general trend revealed by our PM meeting is given to the Central Executive Board and Co-Chairpeople.

* The will that emerged in our Party Council will not only lead to success in the upcoming local elections; It will bring a great victory. When we win, the oppressed, laborers, excluded and ignored people of this country will win, and the cities will win. "With these feelings and thoughts, we greet the people of Turkey and express once again our belief that we will definitely win."
