An attack was carried out on the Inegöl district building of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party). A party member who was outside the district building during the attack was chased by the attacker with an axe.

 

DEM Party Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Candidate Ihsan Seylan, who came to the district building after the attack and made a statement there, stated that they condemned this attack aimed at sabotaging the election work. 

Underlining that they will continue their election campaign strongly, Seylan said: “Those who compete with us in politics today, their efforts to hide behind someone and do politics while there are fair and democratic environments are futile. We are present in all districts and metropolitan cities of Bursa."

Seylan continued his words as follows: “This attack is an attack on democracy, human rights and peace. This attack on our struggle is futile. We will win. We will be here during the process of bringing those responsible to trial together with those behind them, and we will follow this process. We hereby make this call to our people that from now on, our authorized institutions and lawyers will follow the legal process. We will continue our struggle for law and democracy.”
