People's Defense Center (HSM) Headquarters Command announced the "Newroz good news" that PKK Executive Committee member Murat Karayılan said the other day. According to the news reported by Fırat News Agency (ANF), “HSM had the opportunity to neutralize the UCAVs. Our forces shot down a total of 15 UCAVs." In the statement celebrating Newroz, it was emphasized that Armed Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAV), defined as "death machines", have now been neutralized.
HSM made the following statement regarding the UCAVs, which were used especially in assassinations in Southern and Rojava Kurdistan and caused the lives of many people: "The Kurds have reached the level of balancing the Turkish state by providing the missile system necessary for this war. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla has seized the opportunity to neutralize the UCAVs, which the Turkish state and army trust very much, propagate everywhere, try to change the balance of war based on them, and carry out assassinations and massacres in Kurdistan every day. A total of 15 UCAVs of various types have been shot down by our forces since February 13, 2023.”
