NEWS CENTRE - 120 women from the Federated Kurdistan Region called for a halt to the death sentence against Werîşe Muradî and Pexşan Ezîzî.

120 women from the Federated Kurdistan Region called on the Iraqi President to put pressure on Iran against the death sentence against Werîşe Muradî and Pexşan Ezîzî. The women sent a message to Iraq's top officials with a campaign titled "Stop the Execution of Struggling Women".

Signed by 120 women journalists, academics and politicians, the message was addressed to Iraqi President Latif Rashid, Shanaz Ibrahim and all courageous parties and officials.

The message called on those to whom the message is addressed to press for the immediate cancellation of the death sentence issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the two women activists and to ensure their release as soon as possible, as a national duty, as Jalal Talabani did in the past for the patriots in other parts of Kurdistan, as part of their national, conscientious and moral responsibility as women.
