Discussions on solutions: Government does not inspire confidence

AMED - Citizens who attended the DEM Party congress in Rezan said that the government does not inspire confidence in the solution of the Kurdish issue with its practices.

Citizens who attended the congress of Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in Rezan (Bağlar) district of Amed (Diyarbakır) evaluated the solution of the Kurdish issue, Turkey's attacks on North and East Syria and PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's messages.

İhsan Çapan said that they do not trust the AKP for the solution of the Kurdish issue. Çapan pointed to the attacks on the Tishreen Dam in North and East Syria and said, "There is such a meaningful resistance in Tishreen that this resistance is not similar to the resistance in Kobani. The people are shielded against warplanes and weapons. The people say 'We are bigger than death'. From Amed, I salute and congratulate the resistance of the people of Tishreen. We should not remain insensitive to their resistance. What is happening today is a matter of conscience."

Mekiye Çekik also referred to the attacks in Tishreen and said, "We all know how peace will be realised. The war continues in Rojava. They say 'either lay down your arms or we will bury you with weapons'. Where is peace in this? We are not yesterday's children. They are trying to deceive us, but we will not be deceived. They said 'Kobani has fallen and will fall', but Kobanê did not fall. Rojava is next, it will not fall either. The people there are standing and resisting with their children. Therefore, Rojava will also resist and will not fall."

Underlining that the Kurdish issue can be solved with sincere steps, İsmail Yıldız said, "While peace is being talked about, Tishreen is being bombed. Civilians are dying every day in the attacks. If you want peace, you need to pay attention to everything. However, the state does not give confidence to Kurds with the steps it has taken. On the one hand it kills us, on the other hand it appoints trustees to our municipalities. On the other hand, you say 'we will make peace'. What kind of peace can this peace be? No step can be taken until Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is free. Without these, Kurds will not believe in anything."

Giyadin Medeni stated that the government does not inspire confidence and said, "On the one hand it is hitting North and East Syria, on the other hand it is hitting Iraq. Looking at these, it is not possible to see anything in the name of sincerity. On the one hand they say peace and on the other hand they appoint trustees. As they say, Mr Öcalan should go to the Parliament and they should go there themselves and have a one-to-one meeting. 100 years ago, they should not try to fool the Kurds with the games they played."
