PUK Chair Bafel Jalal Talabani announced their support for the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Interim Government and stated that they are hopeful for every step that protects the rights of the people of North and East Syria.

 

Talabani said: "I sincerely welcome the agreement reached between Mr. Mazloum Abdi and Ahmed al-Sharaa. This is an important and valuable step that will strengthen coexistence and solidarity in the new Syria. It is the most effective path toward ensuring political stability and security. From the very beginning, we have emphasized the necessity of such steps, and we will continue to work in this direction. 

 

We hope that this step, which protects the rights of our people in Rojava and all communities, will serve as a new beginning for building a democratic country. We wish for the start of a struggle and partnership process based on the demands of the people and a constitutional framework.
