DİYARBAKIR- In the scope of the operation done based in Diyarbakır and conducted in 9 cities, 25 people out of 141 were arrested on charges of “being a member of an illegal organisation”. 115 of the detainees were released with judicial control. Hilmi Aydoğdu, who had a heart attack under custody is being kept at the hospital.

 

In the scope of the operations against journalists and politicians ordered by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on October 9, nearly 200 houses were raided at dawn. 141 people were taken under custody in 151 people wanted with a warrant. 23 people who were disposed at the Diyarbakır provincial Security Directorate were released the same night. While 12 people out of 25 who were referred to the courthouse was released with judicial control on October 11, 13 people including journalist Kibriye Evren was arrested.

 

20 people including journalists Esra Solin Dal, Semiha Alankuş and Mehmet Akdoğan and some politicians were released with judicial control.
