Demirtaş have written to Le Monde: I am expecting solidarity

İSTANBUL- HDP former Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş wrote to French Le Monde newspaper issuing a call for attendance to his next hearing that will be seen on December 12.
 
“ On December 12, I will be standing trial for the case I am jailed pending trial. I would like to you to observe the hearing in the courtroom and call on for attendance to the hearing. I am writing this letter to you from the  supermax prison I am being illegally kept in for 2 years. Up until now, 5 thousand members of my party got arrested with the same reason. 58 mayors and 9 parliamentarians are in the same prison as I am. Our freedom of thought and expression , our right to engage in politics are being violated because of our Kurdish ethnicity. I am asking for your  support and solidarity. I am hoping that you will do anything in your pover to contribute to the struggle of democracy and liberty. My hearing will be on December 12,2018 and will last for 3 days. I would like you to  observe the hearing in the courtroom and call on for attendance to the hearing”
