MARDİN- The election liaison office HDP was planning to open in Midyat, Estel, was prevented from opening by Midyat District Governer Hüseyin Tekin. HDP Mardin Deputy Tuma Çelik who reacted harshly to the District Governer who is known for his unlawful practices, said they will open their office after they file a criminal complaint about the District Governer.

 

The letter sent by the governor Hüseyin Tekin stated that it was not deemed appropriate to open the election liaison office for  security reasons. The decision taken on 15 February was reported to  HDP on 17 February.

 

HDP preparing to file a criminal complaint about the District Governer to Midyat Chief Prosecutor's Office, will execute the opening in the upcoming days.

 

District Governer Tekin who is known for his antidemocratic practices against HDP, had prevented the citizens who live in counties where HDP had high votes from recieving social aid. He, again, prevented the coal distribution in the counties where HDP has high votes.

 

HDP Mardin Deputy Tuma Çelik who brought the practices of District Governer Tekin to the parliament, assessed the situation as being a partizan.
