6 of the 21 people detained, arrested in Van

VAN- Six people including HDP Provincial co-chair Yadişen Karabulak, who were remanded in custody.

On 10 September 21 people including members of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Van Province co-chairand district co-chairs were taken into custody as a result of a new political operation in Bitlis, Hakkari, Amed and Iğdır, Van.
 
All were detained on charges of “membership of an illegal organization” and “making propaganda for an illegal organization". On Friday, they were brought to Van Courthouse.
 
HDP Van Provincial co-chair Yadişen Karabulak, HDP Province executives Nesibe Akdağ, Seyit Kılıç, İbrahim Sungur, Fikret Doğan and Dilan Yıldız were remanded in custody while 14 other people were released under judicial control.
