MARDİN - The police visiting a families house in Nusaybin and calling another in Artuklu whose children joined PKK, asked the families to go in front of the HDP building to protest. The families stated that their children were not taken by force and joined the PKK willingly.
While the sit in the families started with the claim their children have been abducted and taken to the mountains to join PKK continues in front of Diyarbakır HDP Provincial building, the efforts of the security units to bring more families continues as well. 2 families from Mardin's Nusaybin and Artuklu stated that the police contacted them and tried to convince them to go to HDP to protest.
Two female police who went to a families house earlier, searched the house without a search warrant. According to the family, the police told the family 'If you want your daughter to return, you have to go to the HDP building and join the families staging a sit in'. The police had to leave the house when the family told them that their daughter was not taken by force, but went willingly.
Another family from Artuklu said that the police called them on the phone and tried to convince them to go to HDP building to join the sit in. The family also stated that the police offered to pay for the cab to take them there and said that all their expenses will be covered by the government once they got there and security will be provided. The family told the police that their son had gone there willingly and they did not know if he is alive or not.
